CHICKEN-LIKE SEASONING
1 1/3 c nutritional yeast flakes
3 T onion powder
2 ½ tsp garlic powder
2 ½ T sea salt
½ tsp celery seed
2 T Italian seasoning
1 T parsley flakes
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Store in a glass container. Use it as Chicken flavor for soup, patties, gravy, etc. Very Tasty!
CHICKEN OR TURKEY GLUTEN
¾ c cashews
1 c water
1 ½ c gluten flour
2 T whole wheat flour
½ tsp sea salt
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp garlic powder
BROTH:
5 c water
1 ½ T Chicken-Like Seasoning
½ tsp sea salt
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 T nutritional yeast flakes
CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
1 c Chicken Gluten (cut in chunk) or 1c cooked garbanzo beans
2 T Chicken-Like Seasoning
5 ½ c water
1 c uncooked spaghetti noodles (cut in 1” long)
1 med. Onion, chopped
1 T dry parsley flakes
¼ tsp sea salt
3 T nutritional yeast flakes
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Lightly boil for 15 minutes until onions and noodles are cooked.
SCRAMBLE TOFU (eggs)
1 pkg tofu, firm, water packed
2 green onions, chopped
¼ onion, chopped
1 ½ T nutritional yeast flakes
4 tsp Chicken-Like Seasoning
¼ tsp garlic powder
1 ½ tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp turmeric
Rinse tofu in a cold water. Mash tofu with masher or fork. Mix with remaining ingredients. Add olive oil into a hot nonstick skillet. Add to tofu mixture and cook 5-15 minutes until water is cooked out and gives nice texture. Very delicious!
TOFU & BROWN RICE LOAF
1 pkg tofu, firm, water packed
2 c cooked brown rice
1 c walnuts, chopped
½ carrot, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ c soy sauce, unfermented
½ T onion powder
2 T nutritional yeast flakes
2 T lecithin granules
Cut tofu into small cube sizes and put it in a bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. You may serve it cold or pour into an oil sprayed 13 x 9 baked dish. Garnish with chopped parsley before bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Very delicious!
OMEGA-3 COOKIES
½ c ground flax seeds
1 ½ c quick oats
¾ c oat flour
2/3 c turbinado sugar
½ tsp sea salt
1 T Ener-G baking powder
½ c chopped walnuts
¾ c soy milk
½ c canola oil
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients except soy milk, canola oil and vanilla. Add soy milk, canola oil and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Spray non-stick oil on the 9 x 13 cookie sheet. Drop onto cookie sheet by 1 tablespoon portion. Bake for 25 minutes. Makes 3 dozen. Very delicious!
